The weekend starts here
Thursday night in Madrid
In short
Thursday is a real going-out night in Madrid, not a soft opening. Students and Erasmus groups use it, Mondo Disko runs an electronic night at Sala But, and several commercial clubs already charge weekend-style entry. You do not need to wait for Saturday.
Who is out on Thursday?
A younger crowd than Saturday, more Spanish than a Sol Saturday, and more likely to start in Chueca or Malasaña before one club. If you are over 30 and want a stricter door, Gabana and Gunilla still open, but the centre of gravity is students and regulars, not tables.
A Thursday that works
- 01Dinner by 10:30pm near the bars you actually want.
- 02Chueca or Malasaña until 1am.
- 03One club: Mondo for electronic, Joy or Kapital for commercial, Tiffany’s or Gabana if the group wants reggaeton and will take a taxi.
- 04Home by night bus or taxi. The metro will be shut.
Updated 26 October 2026. Hours and prices are typical 2026 ranges, not a live door price. Confirm the night before you go.
