Thursday, not a table
Erasmus and student nights
In short
Erasmus nightlife in Madrid is Thursday-led, central, and cheaper than the Chamartín doors. Start in Malasaña or Chueca, then one club: Joy Eslava, Mondo Disko, or a student session if the poster is real. You do not need bottle service. Budget €10–20 for a bar and €15–25 if you add a club.
What to skip
- 01VIP hosts on Gran Vía.
- 02A taxi to Fabrik on a weeknight with no ticket.
- 03Gabana if the group is in university hoodies. You will fund the queue and not get in.
- 04Any night that requires you to be 21 if half the group is 19. Ask before you travel across town.
Bring a passport or national ID. A photo on a phone is not ID at a Madrid door. Thursday will be more your age than a guest-artist Saturday at Fitz.
Updated 26 October 2026. Hours and prices are typical 2026 ranges, not a live door price. Confirm the night before you go.

Questions people ask
What is the best night for Erasmus students?
Thursday. The city is out, prices are slightly kinder, and the crowd is younger than Saturday in the upscale rooms.
Is Madrid good for nightlife if we are under 21?
Yes. The standard age is 18 with ID. A few parties print 19+ or 21+. Read that line before you buy four tickets.
